Whooping Cough Vaccination

posted in: News | 0

If you are pregnant we encourage you to contact your GP to have your pertussis vaccination, ideally between 20-32 weeks of pregnancy. If for any reason you miss having the vaccine, you can still have this up until you go into labour.

Babies under 3 months are most at risk of becoming seriously unwell from pertussis. Parents should be encouraged to have their baby vaccinated in line with the schedule at 8, 12, 16 weeks and 3 years 4 months.
